What began in 1889 with the opening of the railway line from Landquart to Klosters is now an impressive 384-kilometre network in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Let yourself be whisked away into the magic of the steam age and feel a piece of living railway history. Enjoy the ride on the nostalgic train as it was 100 years ago – in the traditional “wooden bench carriage” with a plume of smoke and coal dust. The motto of this journey on one of the most beautiful stretches of railway in the Alps is: the journey is the destination!
A special highlight awaits you in first class in the stylish belle époque coupé. With advance reservation, you can enjoy some small extras: aperitif, coffee and fine pastries, served by the Historic RhB catering team from Club1889 and the Verein Dampffreunde RhB (Rhaetian Railway Steam Friends Association).
