Engadin Experience steam train

Triangular trip on the “Heidi” steam engine G 3/4 No. 11

On 23 February, 28 September, 19 and 26 October 2025, railway culture can be experienced up close in the Engadin. As a special trip, the “Heidi” steam engine G 3/4 No. 11 runs several times a day in the triangle between Samedan – Pontresina – St. Moritz – including a detour to La Punt Chamues-ch and Spinas. The Historic RhB catering team from Club1889 and the Verein Dampffreunde RhB (Rhaetian Railway Steam Friends Association) will cater for your culinary needs in the bistro.

Immerse yourself in the wondrous world of railway history on a steam-train ride. Nostalgia, shiny metal and the smooth running of the mechanical system create a special experience.

The full-day ticket gives you complete flexibility. Both the morning and afternoon tickets include the triangular trip with a detour to La Punt Chamues-ch or Spinas.

*Tickets for parts of the journey are only available on the train on the day of travel; they are sold directly by the train staff.

Exclusive 1st class experience

Enhance your steam-train ride in one of the four cosy, padded belle époque coupés dating from 1903 with six seats (each with two window seats, max. 24 seats) and let yourself be pampered with drinks and canapés at the reserved seat in the morning and/or afternoon. Book your upgrade to 1st class from CHF 20 with the RhB Historic Gastro Team or by calling +41 81 641 11 78 at Bonaduz station.
